PRISM GLOBAL PRIDE PANEL

Join Fulbright Prism for an online Global Pride Panel in celebration of Pride Month. Fulright Prism have assembled LGBTQ Fulbrighters from all over the world to share their work and experiences. They will explore each panelist’s work as a Fulbrighter, as well as other queer topics, such as navigating gender fluidity abroad; being LGBTQ in unfriendly countries; Pride celebrations around the world; health and medical planning; and more!

HOW THE IRISH LIVED IN AMERICA

JUNE 24, 2020 @ 1PM IRISH TIME ON ZOOM

The Department of Foreign Affairs will host a series of events exploring the theme of Irish America. On the Wednesday 24 June panel, a series of lightening talks from Fulbright Alumni will provide a deeper understanding of diverse groups of Irish Americans at specific points in history, including hidden histories of Irish gay men in the US in the 1980s-1990s, Irish-Americans in interacial marriages,  and female Irish domestic workers who attended Irish language schools in the US at the turn of the 20th Century.

HOW DO US UNIVERSITIES SUPPORT LGBTQI+ STUDENTS?

JUNE 24, 2020 @ 4PM (CET) REGISTER ON GOOGLE FORMS

In many parts of the world, June is celebrated as Pride Month and commemorates the achievements of the LGBTQI+ rights movement. In honor of Pride month, EducationUSA Belgium and the Netherlands will be joined by the University of Kentucky and Wisconsin-Madison for a conversation to discuss ways to move beyond the LGBTQI+ acronym and discuss perspectives on how universities in the USA welcome and support students from the LGBTQI+ community on their campuses.

Join them on June 24 for a conversation with Warren Scherer, Katherine Charek Briggs from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Rachel Williams from the University of Kentucky from 4-5 PM CET TIME.
