Ruairi Mckiernan

 An award winning social innovator, campaigner, writer, speaker, hitch-hiker and Presidential appointee to Ireland’s Council of State, Ruairí McKiernan is the founder of the pioneering SpunOut.ie youth organisation, a co-founder of the Uplift campaigning organisation, and a regular contributor to national media on social justice, youth and community issues, civic leadership and wellbeing.

Ruairí completed a Fulbright TechImpact Award to the Citizen Engagement Laboratory in Berkeley, California where he explored online civic engagement, digital democracy development and web-based citizen activism.
