Professor W. Berry Lyons is a Professor in the School of Earth Sciences and the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center at the Ohio State University. His research interests include the rates and controls of chemical weathering, the role of human activities on water quality, and the impact of climate change on the biogeochemistry of polar regions. On his Fulbright-GSI Award to NUIG, he will examine the geochemistry of stream and bog waters in the west of Ireland.
