Thomas A. Metzger is a PhD candidate at the University of Notre Dame studying the mechanobiology of bone marrow and its influence in bone diseases such as osteoporosis. He will attend the National University of Ireland, Galway as a visiting researcher for the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering. His studies will focus on investigating the role of cell-cell interactions in the mechanotransduction of trabecular bone marrow. This work is in collaboration with the Whitaker International Program.
