AlysiaA ScottA holds a Master’s of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from University of Denver. Currently, she is an ORISE Research Fellow at the US Food and DrugA Administration (FDA). Her previous work with FDA includes Hepatitis B infection of Primary Human Hepatocytes, biomarker discovery involving miRomics and proteomics, and microbial resistance testing of chemical sterilants for medical devices. As an awardee of the Fulbright-RCSI PhD grant, Alysia will be researching childhood neuroblastoma with a focus on exosomal delivery of therapeuticsA to manipulate the tumor microenvironment. Her work will also have an impact in the local community through fundraisingA events toA connect with families affected by pediatricA cancers. Alysia looks forward to this new adventure and exploring all of Ireland.
