Saskia holds a B.S. in Music with a concentration in Classical Performance on violin and viola from the State University of New York at New Paltz. As a Fulbright recipient, she will pursue a M.A. in Irish Traditional Music Performance through the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick. Saskia is active in the traditional Adirondack music community of Upstate New York and hopes to use expertise gained at the University of Limerick to reinvigorate the historic connections between the Adirondack and Irish fiddling traditions.
