Dr Sally Decker is a professor of Nursing at Saginaw Valley State University where she teaches in the graduate and undergraduate programs. Prior to coming to academia, she served as a Captain in the Army Nurse Corps. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and an MSN from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.She earned her PhD in Nursing from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She also holds certifications as a Nurse Educator (CNE) and in Simulation in Healthcare (CHSE). She has presented on the use of simulation for inter-professional learning internationally. Sally will collaborate with inter-professional colleagues at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland.
