Róisín Ní Bhroin

Róisín Ní Bhroin graduated in 2023 with a first class honours in Law and Irish from University College Cork. She is currently completing a masters in European Law and Irish in UCC. A native of Gorey, Co. Wexford, Róisín is an active member of UCC’s vibrant Irish language community. She is the Postgrad Rep of An Chuallacht, the Irish Language Society, and was the Editor of Breac 2024 (UCC’s Irish language publication). Róisín is a language tutor with the Department of Modern Irish, teaching conversational and grammar classes to undergraduates. While at UCC, Róisín has developed a deep affinity with the Kerry Gaeltacht. She first visited Ballyferriter as a first year student and returned during her masters as a tutor with UCC students. Róisín is really looking forward to teaching Irish in Notre Dame University as a Fulbright FLTA.
Bhain Róisín Ní Bhroin céim chéadonóracha amach i nDlí agus Gaeilge ó Choláiste na hOllscoile Corcaigh in 2023. Tá máistreacht ar siúl anois aici i nDlí na hEorpa agus an Ghaeilge. Is as Guaire, Co. Loch Garman do Róisín, atá ina ball gníomhach i saol na Gaeilge in UCC. Is í an tIonadaí Iarchéime í ar an gCuallacht, Cumann Gaelach na hOllscoile, agus bhí sí mar Phríomheagarthóir Breac 2024 (Iris Ghaeilge UCC). Is teagascóir í Róisín le Roinn na Nua-Ghaeilge, agus múineann sí ranganna comhrá agus gramadaí do mhic léinn bhunchéime. Agus í ag freastal ar UCC, tá dáimh forbartha ag Róisín le Gaeltacht Chiarraí. Thug sí cuairt ar Bhaile an Fheirtéaraigh den chéad uair mar mhac léinn céad bhliana agus d’fhill sí le linn a máistreachta mar theagascóir le mic léinn UCC. Tá Róisín ag tnúth go mór leis an nGaeilge a mhúineadh in Ollscoil Notre Dame mar FLTA Fulbright.
