Parrish Finn is a writer, visual artist, and environmental educator. She graduated in 2020 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a BA in Global Studies and Creative Writing. Since 2021, she has taught horticulture in New York City public schools, where she deepened her interests in ecology and cross-cultural community building. She writes short fiction and poetry and in 2023 completed an internship at Brooklyn Poets. She was awarded a Fulbright grant to pursue a Masters in Creative Writing at University College Cork. Parrish is interested in contemporary “eco-poetry” in Ireland, and is excited by the legacy of poetry in Ireland as a vehicle for community building, understanding, and social change. She plans to use writing to explore the interdependence of living things, and to complete a collection of poetry that inspires readers to look deeply at the ecosystems they inhabit.
