Dr. Olysha Magruder is a director at the Center for Learning Design and Technology, Whiting School of Engineering at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). She received her doctorate degree in educational technology, her master’s in media studies, and a bachelor’s in fine arts. She is a 2023 Fulbright recipient to Dublin City University (DCU) in Ireland where she will complete a professional project in which she will share instructional design, faculty development, and online teaching and learning expertise to DCU faculty and staff. For example, she will develop alternative asynchronous (all online) options for several DCU programs. She will facilitate opportunities for DCU and JHU faculty to learn from each other about best teaching practices while building a community of practice through technology-enabled collaborations. Dr. Magruder and her faculty partners will disseminate collected gold standards of online and blended teaching to professional communities across the globe.
