Michael J. Kelly lectures historical theory, literature, and early medieval studies at Binghamton University, SUNY. He is also a Senior Research Fellow at the RomanIslam Center, University of Hamburg, and a 2021-2022 Fulbright Scholar at University College Cork. Michael is the General Director of the international open-access project Networks and Neighbours, Co-Editor of Gracchi Books, with Catalin Taranu, and Co-Editor, with Dolores Castro, of the Visigothic Symposia. He has published a number of books and articles in early medieval history, historical theory, and the philosophy of Alain Badiou. Prior to arriving at Binghamton, he was Associate Lecturer of Early Medieval History at the University of York (UK) and Visiting Lecturer of Early Medieval Historiography at Leeds Trinity University (UK).
