Matthew T. Mullarkey is the Director of the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Program for the USF Muma College of Business and an Instructor in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS) Department. His areas of research interest include design science research and action research in the evaluation and creation of information systems, smart cities, IoT, healthcare, social networking, and data science. He teaches using case based discussions that engage Doctoral, MBA and MIS undergraduates in complex business decisions. He is the Editor_in_Chief of the USF Muma Case Review, the 2018 recipient of the USF Faculty Externship Award, the 2017 recipient of the USF Muma College of Business Outstanding Faculty Community Engagement Award, and the 2015-2016 ISDS Undergraduate Teacher of the Year Award. Mullarkey actively supports entrepreneurship and university to industry tech-transfer through his roles as a Co-Principal Investigator on the 2018-2021 NSF I-Corps Site Grant, as a 2016 recipient of the NSF I_Corps National grant in his role as mentor, as a member of the USF I-Corps Site Committee, and as a USF I_Corps Site instructor.
