Luke is a Ph.D. candidate at Trinity College. His research investigates directorsa€™ duties and climatic risks and is funded by an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Scholarship. As a Fulbright EPA Awardee Luke will focus on the US elements of his thesis at Harvard Law School. Prior to this Luke will undertake a Congressional Fellowship in Capitol Hill as part of the Washington Ireland Program.

Luke holds a First a€“ Class LL.B. with a Gold Medal from Trinity and a BCL, Masters in Law, from the University of Oxford where he graduated with Distinction as the HonorA© Scholar. Luke is interested in combating climate change and promoting sustainable development. He founded the educational initiative EnviED, a project for which he was awarded as Irelanda€™s Most Outstanding Young Person Under 40 for Academic Leadership 2021. Luke was also named Irish Law Student of the Year 2022 in recognition of his research.
