Dr Liam M. Carr is a graduate of Texas A&M University. He will join the Socio-Economic Marine Research Unit at the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he will examine how the local knowledge of Galway’s inshore commercial fishing community might be applied to fisheries policy, in an effort to strengthen sustainability goals and economic stability.
