Laura Marshall Clark

Laura Marshall Clark is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma and interdisciplinary scholar, writer, and curator. Clark explores North America’s numerous and distinct tribal histories, cultures, and transnational narratives through research, writing, and development of fine arts exhibitions. As a Fulbright scholar, her work at University College Cork centers in teaching Native American literature and aesthetics, guest lecturing in creative writing, and researching Celtic history, culture, and identity for her project, We Bring Our Fire. In 2019 Clark was honored as the inaugural Scholarly Fellow at Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico; her published genres include fiction, poetry, essay, and others. She earned her MA in Native American Studies at the University of Oklahoma and BA in Political Science at East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma. She also serves as a consultant to state and tribal programs, museums, universities, businesses, and charitable foundations.
