Kala Brzezinski is a graduate of both Auburn University holding a BA in history and Tufts University where she holds an MA in museum education. Her background and experience in museology centers on community-driven programming and education hosted by museums and galleries. Through her Fulbright award, Kala plans to aid the Hugh Lane Gallery in strengthening its bonds to local Dublin communities through the design and implementation of art education and community outreach programming. Prior to moving to Dublin, she completed an internship in community programming at The House of the Seven Gables in Salem, Massachusetts and worked as a curatorial assistant in the Harvard University Herbaria in their natural history and botanical collections to assist in ongoing curatorial and digitization projects. Kala is eager to apply her museum education and community programming training to the study of contemporary Irish art through the Hugh Lane Gallery in Dublin.
