Julia Boyce will attend the Master of Philosophy program at Trinity College Dublin focusing on Modern Irish History.? She is from Houston, Texas and graduated from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts in 2020, where she studied history and political science. Her senior honours thesis, titled “An Analysis of the Intersection of Power and Gender Expectations in the Lives and Reigns of Catherine of Aragon and Mary I of England,” analysed the conflict between gender roles and power in the context of European history.?This thesis was awarded high honours. At Trinity College Dublin, she will continue her academic focus on gender and power through a dissertation examining the role of women and feminine archetypes in the context of Irish civil conflict during the twentieth century.
