Jean lectures in the areas of Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, & Human Resource Development at the Kemmy Business School, University of Limerick. She is also a Global Research Associate with the Sloan Center on Aging and Work at Boston College, and a former Fulbright Scholar at Colorado State University (2012-2013)..

Her research interests include the ageing workforce, the social psychology of prejudice, and adult learning and education. Jean has extensive experience in teaching at undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience levels, as well as working with community-based and youthreach education and training programmes.
