Gary Murphy is full Professor of Politics in the School of Law and Government at Dublin City University. He is an acknowledged authority internationally on the subject of political lobbying and an expert in the reconstruction and interpretation of Irish politics in the twentieth and twenty first centuries. He is one of Ireland’s leading political commentators.

As part of his Fulbright Award in 2011-12, Professor Murphy evaluated Lobbying Regulation in the United States of America: Lessons for Ireland at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
