Tracy L. Cross, Ph.D. is the Jody and Layton Smith Endowed Professor of Psychology and Gifted Education and executive director of the Center for Gifted Education and the Institute for Research on the Suicide of Gifted Students at William & Mary. He is co-editor, with Dr. Jennifer Riedl Cross, of the Handbook for Counselors Serving Students with Gifts and Talents. He is past editor of Gifted Child Quarterly and founder of SENG Journal: Exploring the Psychology of Giftedness. He was president of the National Association for Gifted Children and The Association for the Gifted. Dr. Cross has received many awards for research and service in the field of gifted education, including the Lifetime Achievement Award by MENSA. His Fulbright research focuses on the psychological well-being of gifted Irish students. Dr. Cross will be collaborating with the Centre for Talented Youth, Ireland at Dublin City University, working with Dr. Colm O’Reilly.
