Bernadette John is a 2023 graduate from Austin Peay State University, where she graduated with a Master of Music in Instrumental Performance. She earned a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University. She will be studying with Dr. Paul Roe in the Professional Mentorship program at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, focusing on contemporary clarinet performance and its interaction with Irish traditional music. Her project aims to connect two previously separate worlds, and to explore the liminal space that is created when two musical centers collide.
