Annie received a Bachelor of Arts in Irish and French at QUB, in 2019. Her dissertation explored the linguistic history of her native Wexford by examining evidence found in the county’s placenames. Keen to continue her research, Annie was awarded a PhD research stipend from the Department of Economy. Her thesis focuses on gleaning new dialectal evidence from placenames in South Leinster. Annie worked as an English Language Assistant in Strasbourg, France. Annie currently works as a Teaching Assistant at QUB and is an Irish Language Assistant at Sacred Heart College, Omagh. She has experience as a TESOL Instructor and has received her Level 5 TEFL qualification.

Bhain Annie céim Baitsiléir Ealaíon sa Ghaeilge agus sa Fhraincis amach ag QUB i 2019. Bronnadh an Dr Noel J Hamilton Prize for Irish and Celtic Studies uirthi agus thug sí faoi thaighde iarchéime. Bhain sí Máistreacht Taighde amach ag QUB i 2020, ina bpléadh stair theangeolaíochta Loch Garman, a contae dúchais, tríd anailís a dhéanamh ar fhianaise theanga atá ar fáil i logainmneacha an chontae. Tá spéis ar leith aici i gcanúineolaíocht na Gaeilge; bhronn Roinn na hEacnamaíochta stipinn taighde PhD uirthi. Is é príomhchúram a taighde dochtúireachta ná fianaise canúna úire a bhaint ó logainmneacha Dheisceart Laighean. D’oibrigh sí mar Chúntóir Teanga an Bhéarla i Strasbourg, sa Fhrainc. Faoi láthair, is Cúntóir Teagasc in Ollscoil na Banríona agus is Cúntóir Teanga na Gaeilge í i gColáiste an Chroí Ró-Naofa, san Ómaigh. Tá taithí aici mar Theagascóir TESOL agus Ghnó agus tá cáilíocht TEFL leibhéal 5 aici freisin.
