As an entrance scholar at Maynooth University Alswyn graduated with a first-class honours BA in Nua-Ghaeilge and Media Studies. While there, she was Vice-President and Secretary of Ireland’s oldest Irish student society Cuallacht Cholmcille. Currently she iscompleting an MA in Scríobh agus Cumarsáid na Gaeilge in University College Dublin, where she teaches Irish to international students. She has significant experience working in Irish language organisations including Conradh na Gaeilge, Gael Linn and Foras na Gaeilge. These roles focused on the use of Irish by young people and promoting the language at a national level. Alswyn’s other interests include broadcasting on RTÉ Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, Raidió Rí­ Rá and Raidió na Life. As a Fulbright FLTA, she will teach the Irish language and take classes at the Villanova University, Philadelphia.
