October 10th, 2012: Current Fulbrighter Starts Irish Reading Group in NYC, Current Irish Fulbrighter to Lead Reading Group on Irish Emigrants and the Diaspora

Dr. Ellen McWilliams, who is currently a Fulbright Scholar and is researching and lecturing in the US at Fordham University, has created an Irish Reading Group entitled “Exile and the Irish Writer.”

McWilliams will lead the reading group on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Aisling Irish Community Center. The group will run from October 22nd to December 17th and all are welcome. The reading group will explore key themes on emigration and the Irish Diaspora, reading books from authors as diverse as James Joyce to Column McCann.
