October 5th, 2012: Fulbrighter's Exhibit Opens at IMMA, Former Fulbrighter's Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) exhibit opens today, October 5th, 2012.
Alice Maher’s mid-career retrospective to run for three months in Dublin at the IMMA@NCH.
Alice Maher is one of Ireland’s foremost artists, working in mediums of sculpture, photography, painting, and animation. Maher completed her Fulbright Award at the San Francisco Art Institute.
Her current show, Becoming, will run at the IMMA from today until February 3, 2012; the Irish Times named it as one of the top “25 Things to do Now That Winter is Coming.” To coincide with the exhibition, there will be two lectures (October 24th and December 13th) between Maher and IMMA’s curator, Sean Kissane.
