Róisín Ní Raghallaigh

Róisín Ní Raghallaigh graduated with a first-class honours degree from Ulster University. She is currently completing a TICO (Irish language PGCE) with St. Mary’s University College, Belfast and an MA in Translation Studies with UU. Róisín has been teaching Irish to adults for many years, in evening classes, all-day intensive courses and weekend courses to the Donegal Gaeltacht. For the past couple of years she has also been teaching both English and Irish at a summer school run by the Belfast International Language Academy, for language-exchange students from the Basque country. Róisín is passionate about the preservation and promotion of minoritized languages, and hopes to engage in further study on this topic in the future. She will be an FLTA at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Bhain Róisín Ní Raghallaigh céim le chéadonóracha sa Ghaeilge amach le hOllscoil Uladh. Fá láthair, tá sí ag tabhairt faoi chúrsa TICO (PGCE lán-Ghaeilge) le Coláiste Ollscoile Naomh Muire, Béal Feirste, agus MA san Aistriúchán le hOU. Bíonn Róisín ag teagasc na Gaeilge i ranganna oíche do dhaoine fásta, dianchúrsaí lae, agus cúrsaí gairide i nGaeltacht Thír Chonaill. Le cúpla bliain anuas tá sí ag teagasc an Bhéarla agus na Gaeilge ag Scoil Shamhraidh de chuid BILA. Tá an dúshuim ag Róisín i dteangacha mionlaithe agus na hiarrachtaí atá ar siúl chun iad a chaomhnú agus a chur chun cinn, ábhar ar mhian léi tuilleadh staidéar a dhéanamh air amach anseo. Beidh sí mar FLTA in Ollscoil Wisconsin, Milwaukee i mbliana.
