Mr James Ó Conaill achieved his bachelor’s degree (hons) in Irish Studies from Trinity College Dublin in 2017. Having tutored spoken Irish to first and second-year students in the university during 2017-18, as well as teaching English as a second language with a Dublin language school, he undertook his studies towards his Professional Master’s in Education at Maynooth University, where he graduated with first class honours in autumn 2020. Since then, he has taught history and Irish with Coláiste Ghlór na Mara, an Irish-medium post-primary school in north County Dublin. He has also taught Irish to adult learners with Gaelchultúr, an organisation which promotes Irish and Irish culture throughout the country. As a Fulbright Irish FLTA, James will teach the Irish language and take classes at Villanova University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
