Dylan Lynch is a PhD candidate in the School of Chemistry, Trinity College Dublin. He holds a first-class honours degree in Medicinal Chemistry and is an active science communicator, having worked extensively with Science Gallery Dublin. His PhD research, funded by Science Foundation Ireland, delves into synthetic methods for stabilising therapeutically-important proteins. Dylan also researches mild methods using ultraviolet and blue light to synthesise medicinally valuable compounds. As a Fulbright awardee at the University of Washington, Dylan will further explore how proteins interact with each other, and how these interactions affect gene regulation.
