What's on offerFulbright US scholar awards (maximum €70,000) are for US scholars or professionals to research and or teach in Ireland for 3 – 12 months in a wide range of disciplines.
Each year, the Council of International Exchange of Scholars (CIES) advertises Fulbright US scholar awards to Ireland in specific disciplines chosen by Irish institutions and “All Disciplines” awards; these are in disciplines not requested by Irish institutions in advance of the competition. The Fulbright Commission manages the US scholars’ work permits, health insurance, orientation programs and grant payments while they are in Ireland. US scholar applicants are encouraged to contact the Fulbright Commission for advice on their project proposals and institutional affiliations. The deadline for the 2011 – 2012 is 1st August 2010.
