How to apply

Fulbright grants are selected through an open and merit-based competition.Fulbright grants are selected through an open and merit-based competition.

Interested candidates:

  1. should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria
  2. must contact the Commission for further information, an application form, reference form and to receive full copy of the host institutional proposal
  3. must submit to the Commission the following no later than 12h00 FRIDAY 19TH MARCH 2010
  • the first 4 pages of the Fulbright Scholar Application Form.  2 hard copies of the form should be submitted to Program Manager, Fulbright Commission, Brooklawn House, Shelbourne Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, Ireland and 1 copy by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   • two sealed and signed letters of reference on the Fulbright Reference Form should be submitted with the application or directly to the Commission by the closing date.

Eligible applicants’ applications will be forwarded to the host institution for its review and recommendations.  Interviews may be conducted in Dublin the week of 22nd March 2010.

The final decision rests with the board of the Fulbright Commission in Ireland and the Fulbright Scholarship Board in Washington, D.C.
