Meghan Marrero

Dr Meghan E. Marrero is a Professor of Secondary Science Education at Mercy College and President-elect of the National Marine Educators Association. She is also co-Director and co-Founder of the Mercy College Center for STEM Education (CSE), which aims to improve STEM opportunities for underrepresented K-12 students through teacher training, family learning nights, and student enrichment experiences. Meghan currently directs two large grant programs focused on improving STEM teaching and learning. She earned a B.S. in Biological Science from Cornell University and an MA and EdD from Teachers College, Columbia University in science education. Dr Marrero also holds a professional certificate in educational leadership from Queens College, City University of New York. Prior to joining Mercy College, Meghan was a high school teacher in New York City, teaching marine science, biology, and environmental science, and then worked as a curriculum director at an education technology company.
