Fernando will examine the role of museums and cultural programs in the construction and dissemination of knowledge. Drawing heavily on expertise within the Smithsonian, Fernando will strengthen his own research about exhibitions as sites of exchange by exploring topics related to cross-cultural research, cultural heritage preservation, cultural diplomacy and cultural patrimony illuminating.
