Ms Cecily Ní Loinsigh is from the Gaeltacht village of Béal Átha’n Ghaorthaidh located at the source of the river Lee in County Cork. Cecily developed a strong passion for Gaeilge from an early age due to being immersed in Gaeilge through her education and her Irish speaking family and community. In 2011, Cecily graduated from St Angela’s College, Sligo with an honours degree in Gaeilge and Home Economics. Since then Cecily has taught in many different second level educational settings where she thoroughly enjoyed instilling her love of our native both inside and outside the classroom. Cecily enjoys engaging in the social aspect of the Irish Language by attending events such as The Fleadh Cheoil, An tOireachtas, Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta, Pop Up Gaeltacht and Ciorcal Comhór on a regular basis. Cecily is currently studying an Advanced Diploma in Personal, Life and Executive Coaching in Kingstown College, Dublin. As a Fulbright Irish FLTA she will further her studies and teach Gaeilge in the University of Montana.
