Ms Cara Moloney is a final year PhD student in the School of Chemistry in UCD and is funded by the Irish Research Council. She received a First Class Honours BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from DCU. Her doctoral research is on development of magnetic drug carriers with controlled internal architectures for use in chemotherapy. As a Fulbright Student in the State University of New York at Buffalo, she will conduct studies into the behaviour and response in cancer models of these carriers, to enhance their properties and to maximize their clinical potential.
