Beth Sundstrom (Ph.D., University of Maryland, College Park; M.P.H., Brown University) is an associate professor of communication and public health at the College of Charleston, South Carolina. She is the Director of the Women’s Health Research Team (WHRT), a member of the graduate faculty, and a faculty affiliate in the Women’s and Gender Studies program. Dr Sundstrom is a leading scholar on health communication, social marketing, and women’s reproductive health. She is the author of Reproductive Justice and Women’s Voices: Health Communication across the Lifespan (2015) along with more than 20 peer-reviewed articles published in top-tier journals, including Contraception, the Journal of Health Communication, and the Maternal and Child Health Journal, among others. As a Fulbright Scholar, she will conduct research at University College Cork in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Science and the Institute for Social Sciences in the 21st Century (ISS21).
