Richard Siegesmund is Associate Professor of Art Education at the University of Georgia, Lamar Dodd School of Art. In 2010, he served as a Fulbright scholar in the Faculty of Education at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin.

While in residence he worked with students throughout the College as well as lecturing at other institutions in the Republic of Ireland and Great Britian. These other sites included St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra; Limerick School of Art and Design, University of Limerick; the Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media (GradCAM); Bournemouth University, Bournemouth; University of the West of Scotland and Centre for Contemporary Art, Glasgow; and Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln.

“A highlight was being able to explore the western counties of Ireland, as well as taking time to enjoy theater at the Abbey and Gate and music at the Cobblestone, Devitt's and the Brazen Head.”

In October, 2011, Richard has been invited to return to Dublin as a keynote speaker for the annual conference of the Art Teachers' Association of Ireland to address 21st century learning outcomes through visual arts education.
