The primary sources of funding for the Fulbright Commission are annual allocations from the US Department of State and the Irish Department for Foreign Affairs.

The Fulbright Commission is an Irish public body and registered charity that receives additional contributions from educational institutions, private and public sector partners in Ireland and the United States.
