The Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistantship (FLTA) program offers FLTAs and US students the unique opportunity to learn about each others’ cultures and to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and Ireland. As part of the FLTA program, the Fulbrighters participate in various cultural programs, such as the Immersion Weekend at the Kansas City Irish Center.
Speaking about the weekend, Nóirín stated it was “great to be working with so many eager, enthusiastic people in a very proud-to-be-Irish center.” The Kansas City Irish Centre is dedicated to being a hub of Irish activities, music, and educational programs, and Fulbright is delighted to have been part of their Immersion Weekend.
